I love these Covermate bags (affiliate link) for my wreaths. They have straps to secure your wreath, and the zippered center storage area is great for accessories. Hang them on the wall in your storage space to clear up floor space. I also use one of these for garland! Just wind it up in the bag and put the extension cord, light timer, and zip ties in the center section, so it will be ready for next year.
For years, I used a hard plastic bin with flimsy cardboard dividers. I purchased this Covermates bag (affiliate link) last year, and I really love it. The dividers are super thick, so everything is much more secure. It's still adjustable, and I love that you can remove the trays. Fragile ornaments get their own section, while others buddy up to save space.
If you have a lot of garland, these storage bags (affiliate link) are great. Most of ours is short, so I use the wreath bags.
This is the first year I have a lot of lights to store, so I'm purchasing light reels. I think I'm going to get this one (affiliate link), but reply if you have a better solution!
I generally keep my holiday gift wrap with my every day gift wrap, but I went a little crazy this year and I have way more than I want in my every day supply. The most important thing to consider when buying a storage container is finding something to hold the long rolls! I generally don't like the upright, plastic ones because they are so short! I plan to get this one (affiliate link).
General Storage
Everything else goes in clear, plastic bins. I always lean toward clear, so you can see what is inside, and so that there is a more cohesive look in your storage space. The ones that are in the colors of holidays are nice for quick grabs, but I really like to be able to see through them. I also don't love the visual clutter of the variety of colors in a space that tends to feel cluttered anyway.
